Ghazaleh Bigdelou is an illustrator and author with a bachelor’s degree in painting. Though her artistic journey began with painting, she soon found her voice in illustration, where images could soar beyond gallery walls and become stories, reaching hearts across distance and culture.
Her work has graced international exhibitions and is featured in numerous catalogs. Her accolades include the Golden Pen plaque in Belgrade for The Joke in 2009, and an IBBY diploma for An Umbrella with White Butterflies in 2020. Most recently, she was awarded the Silver Medal in the 2022 KeyColours Competition for How Do You Become Friends with the Moon and the Gold Medal in 2024 for Warm All Over, both for Clavis Publications.
Through her work, she continues to explore the quiet language of images, grateful to share her visual storytelling with a global audience.
